Functions:- 

Local Audit Group ensures that the General Priciples of Store Accounting are being followed by all the Units/Formations/Labs/Establishments under the jurisdiction of CDA(R&D), Bangalore.

General Principles for conduct of Local Audit:

1. The accounting procedure being followed is in accordance with the Govt. Orders/Instructions.

2. All Receipts and issue of Stores including transfer of Stores have been duly accounted for in the Store Ledgers

3. Stores issued for consumption/use are as per the laid down skills

4. All losses, damages and deficiencies are dealt with under the orders of the competent financial authority as per the prescribed procedures.

5. Balances in the Store Ledgers do not exceed the authorised limits and suitable action has been taken for the disposal of surplus or unauthorised stores.

6. Stock verification has been carriedout at prescribed intervals and certified as such on the relavent ledgers by the officers concerned. Proper action has been taken to adjust the deficiencies and surpluses

7. No article has been supplied after the necessity for the supply has lapsed.

8. In addition to above, maintenance of all relavent documents in respect of DRDO Projects will also be ensured as per the extant Govt. orders.
