Functions & Responsibilities:-

Pay Groups:-

  1. Audit and payment of Pay and other related matters of DRDO Labs located in Bangalore, Kochi, Avadi and Mysore.

  2. Maintenance of demand registers & other control registers.

  3. Forwarding of Debit Schedules including fund schedules in respect of other Controllers to Accounts Section.

  4. Verification and forwarding of HBA calculation sheets to Accounts Section for confirmation of outstanding balances.

  5. Audit & approval of Pay fixation cases.

  6. Verification and issue of qualifying service certificates.

  7. Audit & forwarding of Pension papers to Pension Sanctioning Authority.

  8. Audit & payment of final pay & allowances, CGEIS and Encashment of EL of retiring employees.

  9. Compilation of various recoveries effected through Temporary Labour Bills in respective of Industrial Employees.

  10. Compilation of recovery of leave salary and pension contributions in respect of employees lent to other services.

  11. Scale Audit.

  12. Collection of Annexure I & II in respect of Employees covered under New Pension Scheme.

  13. Allotment of Permanent Pension Account Number (PPAN).

  14. Reconciling and forwarding of New Pension Scheme data, on monthly basis, to Nodal office i.e.PCDA (R&D), NEW DELHI.

Pay Tech:-

  1. Issue of various Part I Office Orders connected with the pay matters.

  2. Reply to references on pay matters referred to by other sections.

  3. Maintenance of Pay Tech Library

Fund Cell:-

  1. Collection of GP Fund Schedules after tallying with PC.

  2. Forwarding of GPF Schedules and purified data to PCDA (R&D), New Delhi, quarterly.

  3. Halfyearly Review of data received from PCDA (R&D), New Delhi.

  4. Correspondence with Labs on discrepancies in Annual GP Fund Statements (CCO-9).
